Profile: Residential Coach; Sun-Wed 3:00pm-11:00pm 

Fulshear is a treatment to transition program for women ages 18-27.

We are an attachment-based program. We focus on available, responsive, and secure relationships to help young adult women heal from trauma and attachment wounds.

Fulshear provides a built-in continuum of care for acute client care. Clients start their work at the ranch campus in the small town of Needville to focus on healing trauma and attachment, learn and implement self-care skills, and experience holistic health practices. Begin foundational work at the ranch by implementing treatment plan and life skills to every day activities. Clients become healthy, secure and integrated young adult women .

Responsibilities

What we are looking for: We hire people not resumes. Having experience in the mental health industry, honestly for Fulshear, that's not always true. We look for people who are passionate about helping others, who can make connections and build successful relationships with our clients. Our Residential Coaches model appropriate behavior, self-care and are honest about holding boundaries and trust with accountability. Residential Coach also aid the client in their program work; talk about their therapeutic assignments. At Fulshear, we have developed a training program that gives our staff the skills and knowledge to be successful. We encourage growth and pride ourselves on positive, nonjudgmental feedback. Engagement and collaboration in team meetings, group activities, and connections with clients. 

Qualifications

What can be helpful for success (not mandatory): Passionate about being of service to others. Can foster healthy relationships. Experience working with adolescents and young adults, student athletes, fine arts participant, and community service work. One is available for weekly and monthly mandatory meetings. We want everyone to be on the same page about the program so we offer lots of training opportunities. Working toward a degree in social work or psychology can be a plus; you are familiar with the language and processes, though not required.

Some housecleaning items that are a must: Must be 21 or older. We provide transportation for our clients, so for insurance purposes mentors must be at least 21. With that being said a clean driving record, background check and clear drug screening are required for employment.
